In 1995 he graduated from Norilsk institute of industry (Degree in metal engineering). In 2000 he gets an Economic degree at the same institute.
Mr. Sukhobaevsky held or continues to hold, as applicable, the following other posts.
From 1992 to 1999 - various positions of melting shop of Norilsk Mining and Metallurgical Plant, the final position being deputy chief of melting shop.
From 1999 to 2001 – Polar division OJSC Norilsk Mining Company, deputy chief of melting shop.
From 2001 to 2007 – various positions in Polar division MMC Norilsk Nickel, the final position being chief engineer of nickel plant of Polar division MMC Norilsk Nickel.
From 2007 to 2008 – chief engineer of Nadezhda Metallurgical Plant of Polar division MMC Norilsk Nickel.
In December 2008 Mr. Sukhobaevsky was appointed General director of OJSC Aldanzoloto, Polyus Group subsidiary.
